Chargemaster launches EV charging solution for fleets and leasing companies

  • Chargemaster provides fleets with access to UK’s largest EV charging network
  • POLAR Corporate service provides single monthly subscription with multiple accounts
  • Account overview provides full traceability of costs and charging by individual drivers

Fleets and leasing companies are now able to benefit from a corporate subscription to the UK’s largest electric vehicle charging network, POLAR, with centralised invoicing for multiple users. The new service will allow fleet and transport managers to monitor charging costs centrally.

Chargemaster to install 150 charging points in Lancashire

  • 150 new Chargemaster units to be installed by Lancashire County Council
  • New charging points will include 18 rapid chargers and 66 dual-socket fast chargers
  • First units will be installed early in 2018 and will be on the POLAR network

Chargemaster, the UK’s largest provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, will install 150 new charging points across Lancashire, following a successful bid by Lancashire County Council to the Department for Transport’s Highway Maintenance Challenge Fund.

Chargemaster wins contract for Nottingham Go Ultra Low City infrastructure

Chargemaster, the UK’s largest provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, has won a contract to install and operate charging points in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derby over the next three years, as part of Nottingham’s Go Ultra Low City status.

The three-year, £2m contract with Nottingham City Council will see Chargemaster install around 230 charging points to support the growing number of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles on the roads. At least 11 sites are set to be installed in Nottingham within six months, including at park-and-ride sites close to major routes.

Boost for UK green technology sector as Chargemaster chosen to electrify the next generation of black cabs

  • From Autumn 2017, Coventry-based London Taxi Company (LTC) will only be producing range extended electric taxis for the UK.
  • Today’s agreement confirms the UK’s Chargemaster as the preferred supplier for home charging units for these vehicles.
  • Deal affirms the UK’s status as a world-leading hub for the development of electric vehicle technologies

The London Taxi Company (LTC) has appointed Chargemaster, and its proven homecharge unit, as the preferred supplier of homecharging equipment for the business’ new range-extended electric taxi. This means that when the next electric taxi hits the roads later this year, customers will be able to rely on a trusted manufacturer to charge their taxi at home.

Alphabet powers growth in electric mobility with Chargemaster

Farnborough, UK – 27 April 2017 – Leasing and business mobility organisation Alphabet GB Limited today announced the appointment of Chargemaster as its official electric vehicle (EV) charging partner in the UK. The move brings together the country’s leading EV provider with the UK’s largest charging network. Alphabet is one of the UK’s leading proponents of alternative powertrain vehicles, with a fleet of 8,000 electric and hybrid vehicles. Last year the company was responsible for over 10% of all OLEV-grant eligible vehicles in the UK.

Chargemaster to provide Ultracharge units for London taxis under TfL contract

Chargemaster Plc, the UK’s largest manufacturer and operator of electric charging points, has been placed, after a competitive tender, onto the Transport for London (TfL) framework to provide the rapid charge units that will power the first electric London taxis on the capital’s streets later this year.

Chargemaster powers up Milton Keynes with new charging infrastructure contract

Playing a key role in the delivery of the first ever Go Ultra Low City, The UK’s largest provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, Chargemaster, will significantly expand Milton Keynes’ public charger network. Milton Keynes, which was awarded £9 million under the Go Ultra Low Cities programme in January 2016, has issued Chargemaster with a contract worth £2.3 million to provide additional charging infrastructure to the town in a fiercely fought tender.
