Chargemaster electrifies London with expansion of POLAR network

  • Over 70 rapid chargers within the M25 accessible by electric vehicle drivers using the POLAR network
  • POLAR has 18 rapid chargers within two miles of the M25, covering half of all junctions on the orbital motorway
  • Rapid charging enables zero-emission motoring for drivers who do not have off-street parking

The UK’s largest electric vehicle charging network, POLAR, now has 70 rapid chargers within the M25 to provide quick and convenient charging for electric vehicle drivers, particularly those without off-street parking, and those driving in to and out of the capital.

Luton Borough Council charge points upgraded by Chargemaster following Source East closure

  • Five units in Luton upgraded to the latest spec charge points as part of £15m investment into POLAR network
  • Luton Borough Council charge points the first of former Source East network hosts to upgrade infrastructure
  • Other Source East hosts can also benefit from having obsolete posts replaced by Chargemaster free of charge with complimentary maintenance contracts

Chargemaster powers up Milton Keynes with new charging infrastructure contract

Playing a key role in the delivery of the first ever Go Ultra Low City, The UK’s largest provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, Chargemaster, will significantly expand Milton Keynes’ public charger network. Milton Keynes, which was awarded £9 million under the Go Ultra Low Cities programme in January 2016, has issued Chargemaster with a contract worth £2.3 million to provide additional charging infrastructure to the town in a fiercely fought tender.

Chargemaster helps Corby’s EV Owners reconnect with replacement chargers

Giving Corby’s electric vehicle drivers increased recharging options, Chargemaster has replaced five of the borough’s oldest public charging points across its 23-strong Plugged in Midlands network with state of the art units. Chargemaster’s new charging posts boast a reliability record of more than 98% and will be connected to over 4,000 public charging points nationwide, as part of the company’s POLAR network.
