Government announces EV workplace charging grant

Chargemaster, the UK’s premier supplier of electric vehicle (EV) chargers, welcomes the government announcement today of a £600 grant supporting the installation of dual charging points at workplaces.“This is great news for companies that have adopted EVs into their fleets, or wish to provide charging facilities for visitors,” commented David Martell, Chief Executive of Chargemaster. “There are now more than 80,000 electric vehicles on British roads – many of those are owned and run by businesses.

Free Chargemaster Homecharge unit for new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV customers

Mitsubishi Motors customers purchasing a new Outlander PHEV – the UK’s best-selling zero-emissions capable vehicle – can now have a Mitsubishi-approved Chargemaster Homecharge unit supplied and fully installed completely free of charge.Private, business and fleet customers will save £279 on a 3.6kW Chargemaster Homecharge unit, which includes full standard domestic installation. The unit charges the Outlander 60% faster than a 13A socket and is the quickest, safest and easiest way to charge at home.

Over 2,000 new charging points for POLAR Plus members

We are delighted to announce that from today we are giving all POLAR plus customers access to the Charge Your Car (CYC) public network through existing memberships. This means that there will be over 2000 additional points available with all active POLAR plus RFID cards or key fobs, including access to more than 300 rapid charging stations.POLAR and Charge Your Car have been working hard to form a partnership and simplify public EV charging for drivers by reducing the amount of charge cards needed in EV drivers’ wallets.

Chargemaster named among top tech companies for third year running

  • The EV charging point supplier has supplied more than 50,000 units

The UK’s premier electric vehicle (EV) charging point supplier, Chargemaster has featured on the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 list for the third consecutive year, meaning that it has once again posted exceptional sales growth.

The league table lists the UK’s top 100 fastest-growing private technology companies, based on their sales over the last three years. Chargemaster first appeared on the table in 2014, and is ranked 66th on this year’s list.

Chargemaster signs deal to acquire Elektromotive

The UK’s premier electric vehicle charging point supplier, Chargemaster Plc, intends to take a controlling stake in Elektromotive Ltd, having signed share purchase agreements today. The agreements will see Chargemaster invest additional resources into Elektromotive and its subsidiary, Charge Your Car, allowing both brands to broaden their scope and offering.

Q-PARK UK and Chargemaster partner to put EV charging anxiety at bay

The operator of the largest EV charging network in the UK, Chargemaster, will take responsibility for operating and maintaining all 124 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across parking provider, Q-Park’s, London facilities from 1 August 2016 onwards. In an agreement between Chargemaster and the country’s premier car park operator, the charging points will become part of the POLAR public charging network.

Chargemaster helps Corby’s EV Owners reconnect with replacement chargers

Giving Corby’s electric vehicle drivers increased recharging options, Chargemaster has replaced five of the borough’s oldest public charging points across its 23-strong Plugged in Midlands network with state of the art units. Chargemaster’s new charging posts boast a reliability record of more than 98% and will be connected to over 4,000 public charging points nationwide, as part of the company’s POLAR network.

Nissan offers free Chargemaster Homecharge unit with all LEAF finance purchases

Chargemaster, one of the official charging partners to Nissan GB, has announced it will offer free Homecharge units for Nissan LEAF customers in a new nationwide campaign.Private and business customers purchasing a new Nissan LEAF using Nissan’s finance package between 1 July and 30 September 2016 will be eligible to receive a free Chargemaster Homecharge unit for their car.

AA and Chargemaster bust myths to fully charge the electric car revolution

The UK is at a tipping point, with electric car sales set to soar, once drivers overcome the many myths or misconceptions, according to new AA research.

The AA expects that, based on AA members’ car buying intentions (1) and future trends, there will be more than 500,000 electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in use by 2020. Helping to dispel some of the myths associated with running such cars in the interim, could increase this projection dramatically.
